My Story 

 – Founder, Advocate, & Educator
Hi, I’m Lisa, the heart behind Live and Manage Parents. My journey into advocacy wasn’t just a career choice—it was personal. As a former special educator, I spent five years inside classrooms, witnessing firsthand how Black and Brown families struggled to get the educational support their children with disabilities deserved. I sat in IEP meetings where parents were left in the dark, unsure of their rights, and I knew something had to change.

I created Live and Manage Parents to bridge that gap—to empower parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to advocate for their children effectively. I understand the frustration of dealing with a system that often overlooks our kids. That’s why I’ve dedicated my work to ensuring that no parent walks into an IEP meeting or any meeting feeling unprepared or unheard. It starts with education and community !
